Deleting Project Server and Sharepoint

I have noticed that when you choose add/remove to remove sharepoint and
project server that you need to manually make changes after in explorer, IIS
and SQL. I tried to find information in all Project Server manuals
concerning deleting Project Server and only found 1 page at the end of the
installation manual.

I know it is not something Microsoft would like to advertise concerning
removal of their products but since both products do not remove cleanly, I
would recommend a bit more description concerning this.

If anyone does have more details concerning this, please post it.

Much appreciated.

I've been through the same frustrations before. I have done the following
after uninstalling Project Server and WSS:

Delete the ProjectServer and WSS Config and Content databases.
Delete the MSProjectUser and MSProjectServerUser logins

Delete the Analysis Services Project for the Project Server cubes

Delete the Web Site/s in IIS

Check COM+. If the two packages exist then consider using PSCom+ to remove
them.

Decide whether to remove the service accounts.

I didn't make any registry changes or remove any files file system files
under 'Program Files' in the file system.

Thank you Aaron,

Another thing I noticed is that you will need to check the directories in
explorer - it seems that when you do the add/remove software for sharepoint
and project server, it does not remove all the directories. You will need to
do this manually.
