We had an issue with duplicate projects, and so followed
the Cleanup operation as suggested by Microsoft.
It mentions that you first save one of the projects as an
mpp file.
Then you delete both projects using the cleanup option,
and then Import the project data back into Project Server
using the Import Wizard.
I'm assumming however that all data is lost from the
MSP_WEB tables that contain the actuals entered via the
Project Web Access (PWA) users.
If my assumption is correct, then how do we get these
actuals back?
I was advised that you should never really delete closed
projects for auditing purposes, and yet Microsoft are
suggesting this as a solution.
Any ideas on how we approach housekeeping of closed
projects, which would allow us to retrieve data for audit
purposes, other than lots of backups.
Sorry for lots of questions
