Deleting Sections without re-formatting

Jim

Using Word 2000...
I have a document template that has 3 pages in it (title,
portrait and landscape pages). I have a lengthy document
that I don't wnat to have to re layout. The last page of
my document is the landscape page included in the template
that I ended up not needing.

I want to delete the page, but when I do (and according
the MS help) if you delete a section, that sections
formatting is applied to the previous section (for some
reason which I cannot understand).

Is there a work around that will allow me to delete a
section without applying that formatting to the previous
section.

thanks

Hi Jim

Word does not make this easy! See
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Formatting/WorkWithSections.htm

This will explain the reason for the problem you are having. It also
provides some instructions (under 'If you really want to delete the
temporary section break') for making the formatting of the last section
match that of the previous one, after which you can delete the section
break.
