I use newsgroups a lot. Lately, some of these political newsgroups have
hundreds of posts per day, making it impossible to read them all. Well, I
select "catch up" and move on. But the more posts stored in the folder, the
longer it began to take to clear, and last night it took up to five minutes.
It was ridiculous. So I went to the "maintenance" option in the "options"
menu and selected to "delete all messages after 1 day." (Or something like
that.) This seems to not work. The posts going back for a month are still
visible, which Outlook has to go through every time I hit, "catch up."
What's the problem? Can anyone help?
