Deleting users on project server

Is there a way to delete users on project server? The only option I see is
to make them inactive and they still show up as resources even with an
inactive status. I have several users that have more than one user name; ie:
Fred, Fred Henry, fredh. These users often have a windows authentication and
a project server authentication and sometimes multiple accounts with the
server authentication. These users have different tasks assigned under each
of the different user names. I have one resource pool and would like to have
each member of the pool have access to project server, but nobody else. I
also have users that don't work at this company anymore and would like to get
rid of anyone who will not be using PWA.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Andy

I think I figured this one out on my own. I merged all of the duplicate
names and it seems to be working fine.

Ok but I would like to know if you were able to delete users who no
longer work for the company. I can set them to be inactive but I still
do not know how to delete them.

This assumes you are using Project Server 2003: In PWA > Admin >
Clean Up Project Server Database, bottom of Section 1 > Delete
Resource. Scroll to the resource and delete. In the delete message,
it's good practice to replace the default message with more complete
information, such as your name and the reason for deletion. In
enterprise project schedules, the deleted enterprise resource will be
replaced by a local resource and the delete message, e.g. Fred Henry
deleted 12/2/04 as left company. This will retain actuals that Fred
reported.

You can do this on a large scale by using PSCleaner.exe which you can
find on Microsoft's web page. I have used both methods successfully
in both our test and production environments. Please note that all of
the resources that I deleted this way had already had their remaining
work zero'd.

Hope this helps.
