Deploy a menu button/command change - File/New dialogue box.

I know how to replace the File New button which brings up the Task Window,
with the old style File/New dialogue box. I can do this manually on PCs.

I want to be able to deploy the change to all my users and so have been
trying to take snapshots of the changes using Prism Deploy. I can create the
snapshot file but it doesn't seem to capture the changes at all?

Anyone any ideas how to capture the change or which reg keys would apply
this change?

Many thanks, a frustrated,

Alison

Hi =?Utf-8?B?QWxpc29uSlM=?=,

Most likely, this change is being saved in the profile's NORMAL.DOT template.
This is going to make it difficult to distribute the change in the way you
envision, as replacing users' Normal.dot will tend to make them EXTREMELY
unhappy...

What might be best would be to distribute (at login) a template ADDIN to the
user's *WORD* Startup folder. Have a macro in it named AutoExec that will make
the change to the toolbar, using the CustomizationContext NormalTemplate.

Note that you'd likely have gotten an answer sooner had you posted to a less
general group. word.customization.menustoolbars would have been better, for
example.
