Deploying Office 2007 with customized Quick Access Toolbar

I thought I'd post this information, as I looked for it myself
(without finding much) and ended up with a bit of a creative solution
that hopefully will prove useful for someone else...

We had a need to deploy Office 2007 with additional Quick Access
Toolbar buttons to those included by default. To help with the
transition to the very different looking 2007 products, we wanted to
add Open, Print Preview, and Quick Print to the existing Save, Undo,
and Redo. This proved to be quite a bit more difficult than I'd
guessed, as the Office Customization Tool doesn't provide a mechanism
to deploy .qat files to the necessary location:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data
\Microsoft\OFFICE

It offers the ability to access [AppDataFolder] but not
[LocalAppDataFolder]. Believe it or not, you can use the following
path in the OCT to copy word.qat, excel.qat, etc. It lets you
traverse up a level and then back down the Local Settings structure:

[AppDataFolder]\..\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\OFFICE

Hope someone out there finds this useful. This was a last ditch
effort before I gave up and begrudgingly added the QAT buttons to the
Normal.dotm template or book.xltm template (in the XLStart folder),
which has a lot of drawbacks.
