deploying program for non office user

Dear all (whoever can help me),
I learn Access 97 since '99 and yes I had my progress. However, this is the
time for me to distribute my project/program of database to my customer.
The problem is, they keep questioning about my database which needs MSAccess
installed on their computer.
How I can deploy and install my database on their computer if they are not
MS Office user?
Can I pack my database (.mdb file) to executable files like when I use other
database builder?
I do thank for your help as I need it much.

An mdb file cannot be made into an executable on its own. You will need to
purchase the Access developers extension that will allow you deploy the run
time version of Access.
With the run time version, you cannot do any development. You can only run
Access databases.
The problem is, you may not be able to find a 97 version available. You
will probably have to upgrade to 2003 or 2007 to obtain a runtime version you
can distribute.

Dear Klatuu,
what an amazing speed of answering, I appreciate it.
Yes, I got MS Office 2003 for my birthday present, I installed it at home. I
use it for about 1.5 yrs. but it seems like I miss something.
If I make my database in Access 2003 (and i've made it), how I can convert
it into .exe file and deliver it to my customer?
I mean it seems like I can not find how in MS Access 2003.
Is there any possibility you tell me how?
I do thanks.

You can not make an Access mdb into an exe. You have to distribute your
application with the run time version of Access.

OK, but first, still I lost the clue.
say I have an .mdb file, I will distribute it with the run time version of
access.
The runtime version itself, is ther in the office 2003 CD or I have to find
it in the store (it means the runtime is the different product?).
