Description field in default Task form

Hi folks,

I'm trying to modify the default "description" field in the default Task
form. Description is a rich text field. However, when the field is selected
in the Form designer Preview window, I'm not able to use the controls to
modify how many columns it spans and I'm not able to use the arrow buttons to
position it relative to the other fields in the form. All the other fields
are configurable in this way except the description. I thought I used to be
able to change the column span, etc of Description. As it stands, I have a
three column task form and I'm unable to get the Description to span all
three columns.

Can somone help?

Hi Matt -

I see the same problem - I'm looking a the standard issue tracking form with
two columns, the description taking up both of them. The drop-down only lets
me set the width to 1 column though!

I'll investigate a bit more. Or perhaps some of the Groove MVPs would care
to step in.... don't hold your breath though!

Matt -

Your description field is almost certainly on a tab, on its own. This is why
you cannot move it up or down, and why its size is wrong.

I played around with this situation and managed to get a field to go wrong
size and then right. Mail me and I'll see if I can help you achieve the same
thing.

I was actually able to resolve this issue. For whatever reason, I unchecked
the Description field from the list if fields and then saved the changes.
This removed the field from the form. Then, I rechecked the field which
added it back into the form and I was able to place it properly and without
issue. Not sure why this fixed it, but it did.
