Design Mode

Juran

A long time ago, I created a database for my work, since
then I barely created another database.

When I finish the database, I pressed a key that would not
allow any one to go to the design mode. Now I new to
perform same changes to this database and I do not remember
which key I should press to allow me into the design mode.

Any suggestion?

Thank you.

Hi, Juran.

If I understand your situation correctly, then all you need to do to bypass
the startup settings to work on your database application is to hold down
the <SHIFT> key while opening the database and keep holding it down until
the database is completely open.

With luck you did as '69 suggested and his instructions will work fine.

There are two other ways that I can think of that might be involved.
You might have made it a mde file rather than a mdb file. If so you will
need to find the original file and import the data from the mde. You may
also have secured it with a password, there are a couple of possibilities
there so if that is the case let us know.
