Go to View/Normal. Do it twice to make sure your slide thumbnail pane (left)
and taskpane (right) are showing.
Then go to View/Master/Slide Master.
Select the slide master and Ctrl+C to copy it. Click in the slide thumbnail
taskpane and Ctrl+V to paste. Now delete whatever you need to on that
master. (Select the "background" and use Draw/Ungroup as necessary.)
Right-click on the master in the thumbnail pane and name the master
something like Borderless so you can tell it from the original.
Now go to View/Normal again and select in the slide thumbnail pane the
slides you want to change. Hover your mouse over the "borderless" master in
the Slide Design taskpane on the right and click the arrow on the right of
the borderless thumbnail when it appears there. Select "apply to selected
slides" from the dropdown.
