Designate contacts multiple e-mail addresses as default?

Some of my contacts in Outlook 2007 have multiple e-mail addresses. When I
send an e-mail to one of those contacts the "to" field is always
automatically populated by all of their addresses. I then must remember to
delete the additional e-mail addresses from the "to" field prior to sending.

Is there a way to configure Outlook so that I can designate one or more of a
contacts e-mail addresses as the default to automatically populate the "to"
field?

You mean when you send via the Actions or right click menu menu from you
Contacts folder?
No, you cannot do that. You can emulate it with an additional Distribution
List though or create a new message first and add the addresses by pressing
the To button or typing part of there name and have Outlook resolve the
addresses (if not suggested already).

No. When you right click or use Actions, send message to contact and have
only 1 selected, outlook puts all 3 addresses in the To field. If you
select multiple contacts using this method, outlook puts the default address
(email 1) in the to field.
