We're using Outlook 2003 with iMail in a very secure/firewalled environment.
We'd like to get the desktop alert working but are having problems pinning
down exactly why it's not. The settings seem to be turned on in Options. I
found KB264035 and KB839226 which seem to point us in the right direction,
however, the RPC registry key they are referring to is not there. I tried
adding it manually but that didn't seem to work either. Should that key
already be there and if it's not, will it work if I create it manually?
Also, on the desktop alert, if I do the preview it doesn't work either.
Would this be the same issue or does that indicate a problem with Outlook?
