desktop alerts

Is there a way to filter desktop alerts? I only want them to pop up when a
select group of people email me...any thoughts?

you can disable them and create a rule to trigger them based on conditions.

tools, options, email options, advanced to disable. rules wizard to make a
rule with conditions.
