is there a desktop toolbar for ms office and student edition 2007 sp that the
different programs can be easily accessed?

taskbar.

You can place any program shortcut you wish in the Quick Launch toolbar.
You can enable it in Toolbars selection after you r-click on the
Windows Taskbar.
