The default table for the Gantt view is the "Entry" table. The default table
for the "Detail Gantt" view is the "Delay" table.

You can inspect which field names (columns) are displayed for a table by
selecting View/Table/More Tables...

Select the table of interest (Delay or Entry) and then Edit...
You can compare the tables by visual inspection.

I took a quick look and it appears the differences are:

Entry Table uses "Predecessors" while Delay table uses "Successors"
Delay table contains Leveling Delay

In addition to what Jim said, the thing to remember is that these views
are just "starters". You can use them as a basis to make your own views
taht suits your needs best by changing the filter, sorts, groups,
fields, etc. It's best if you don't over-write the default settings
simply so that you can go back to default if you want.

The detail Gantt also graphically displays free slack following bars.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
