Details/tasks not shown in PWA

Recently we are faced with a similar problem like the one
posted by Mike ("projects dont appear on PWA")on May 6th.
Projects are imported/saved and all information is
published. No errors during this process. In PWA only the
project with the summary task is shown in project center;
when we click the project to see the details PWA shows
the message "There is no information to display in this
view". We've used the same procedure several times before
with other projects, here no problems at all.
There are resources assigned to tasks and when a resource
opens PWA he/she can see the assigned tasks and can
report actuals. However the details/tasks for the project
are not shown in project center.

Have you recently updated PWA 2002? A few months ago, we had the same
problem with a PWA 2002 server, after we installed a hot fix. The "Project
Center" page had data, but the "View a Project" page was reporting "There is
no information...."

We reinstalled the hot fix, and it the install script said it was
"repairing" PWA. Then, the Projects page worked again. No idea why this
happened...

Jill,

to my knowledge no hotfix was installed.
In an other post I saw that somebody suggested to restart
the views notification service. I've asked our service
department to do this. I'll ask them if they recently
installed a hotfix. Thanks for your suggestion.

The VW notify service can do this too.

I recently had a similar problem when a user saved a VERY large file to the
server, and it took a while for the "View a Project" page to display. The
user thought it should display immediately after publishing, but the file
took a while to process.

This has also happened before, when a web server slowed down due to
extremely high usage.
