Detect and Repair - Patch not recognized

Detect and Repair won't work either from Frontpage (2002) or from the FP
disk as an unspecified patch cannot be found and/or opened.
Am wondering whether there is a way around this without a complete purge
of FP from the machine.

Dear David,
Thanks but it doesn't work.
Apparently an installer cleanup issue (Article ID : 932857 - April 11,
2007). Windows Installer Cleanup .exe gets the job done for anyone
interested.
