detect and repair

J

Joepa

I replaced my system drive with a larger one then started to receive the
prompt to find data1.msi in my office 2000 pro products. I don't have the
install CD but I decided to upgrade instead so I bought Office 2003 Student
Ed. I installed it but still received the prompt looking for data1.msi even
though I am on Office 2003 now. I ran Detect and Repair but still get prompt
for data1.msi. I can't Check for Updates either because it can't find
data1.msi.

Any ideas? Thanks

I'm sorry. I should have mentioned that I tried uninstalling Office 2000 but
it wouldn't let me in Control Panel because of missing????...so I uninstalled
Office 2003 rebooted then installed Office 2003 again but no luck.

So I downloaded SP2 for Office 2003 and successfully installed it and still
a problem. Then I ran detect and repair again thinking it might fix this
under SP2 but no luck. I still get a box asking me to insert the Microsoft
Office 2000 Professional disk searching for data1.msi.

Thanks
