detect the user

now i'm doing a system using access 2007. i want this system can detect who
is the user was changing the data. due to this system was using by many user
and in their own pc. but the data is keep in the server. in their pc is jus
hav the form n the report. so now if have an user was changing the data, or
doing some task, then i can know it from the system. how i can make it? cos
too many user using this system, then after that got some data going wrong,
then nobody want to admit. so i need to do this to trace back when got user
changing. if can, i want it show in a table that who was changing it, what
data was he or she changing and when is changing date and time. at least when
got problem, i have a proof to show them. anybody can help me solve this
problem? thanks!

thanks for the reply! i have try the code u giving me, but it is din show
anything out when i'm try to update something. y like this? what should i do

Basically you'd add the code to the before_update code of your form
