Diacritics and search in Outlook 2007 - how?

I'd prefer to enter names in Contacts as they are, i.e. with diacritic signs
from French, German or East European languages.

Currently I'm using Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007 to keep all
contacts.

However Outlook search seems to be sensitive to diacritic symbols, which is
not good for me, if name of company or person contains diacritic symbol it
cannot be found using corresponding latin letter, e.g. latin "u" vs German
"ü".

Is it possible somehow to make Outlook search non-sensitive to diacritics?

If it's specifically problem of Business Contact Manager (not sure) - I'll
probably repost this question to another thread.

Not sure what your purpose is - you want to search for "Müller" by
typing "Muller"? I can imagine that Outlook probably won't find it, as
it is a different character.

However, I think that possibly desktop search tools, such as Windows
Desktop Search, Google Desktop Search, or Copernic can do that, as they
are more sophisticated.

Yes, it's what I want.
However your reference to more sophisticated Windows Desktop Search is
meaningless - Outlook 2007 is using WDS engine to make internal searches, so
there are no "simplicity" limits.
