diagonal lines through table cells

I

its like that

I have a 10 by 11 table of square cells. There is already text in the
cells.

I want to draw thin diagonal (NE to SW) lines, ideally wavy, through all the
cells, keeping the text formatting as it is (ie, the line just sit as an
overlay on top of the cells).

Does anyone know how I can do this in Word 2000?

Thanks

Using the line tool from the Drawing toolbar, draw one line exactly as you
want it. Position it on the first cell in row 1. Copy, then paste 10 times.
You should have 11 lines, in a cascade. Select the last one. Position it on
the last cell of row 1.

Select all the lines. Click Align Top then Distribute Horizontally from the
Draw toolbar menu. Now Group the lines. Copy the group. Paste once for each
addition row. Use Align Left and Distribute Vertically. Then group the lot.

Great stuff - thanks for that Jezebel - even the top-posting is forgiven
(joke!!!)
