Dialer Problem

I have installed the Dialer for access 2007. The problem is when trying to
dial a long distance number EX: 1-555-555-1234. The Dialer comes up with 1 5
555-1234.
I have tried all of the options in the dialer configuration and still it
dials the same pattern. I noticed this problem in several other google
searches, but with no reslove.
Any ideas?

I haven't used a dialer in years. Few computers even come with modems any
more. I do seem to remember though, that dialing strings may need to be
altered for different versions of Windows, so it might require a change. I
suggest that you call your phone provider and ask them for the proper AT
strings. Look for the phone/modem applet in Control Panel, and ask your
provider what strings to use and how to get to them.
