difference between Microsoft server 32 bit and 64 bit

Hi bfot123,

Actually from a software perspective there is no differene. The 32 / 64 bit
refer to your server hardware. If you run a 64 bit server you require the
corresponding 64 software ( in our case Project Server). Generally
performance is much higher in an 64 bit environment, but I believe that the
hardware is also more expensive.

So make sure you know your hardware before you puchase your software.
Hope this helps

hi Ranj,

please refer to my previous answer.
In a nutshell the 32 / 64 bit refers to the hardware you are running. If you
run a 64 bit server you require the corresbonding 64 bit software. Microsoft
offers therefore a 32 and a 64 bit version of their server software
hope this helps
