for win2k, outlook2k and oe6.0, i use both for different email addresses
maybe it is my isp, comcast.net but........
my standard connection is cable, so i have a dialup with a 3rd party for
traveling
the connection properties for the dialup uses a modem of course and the only
other change from cable/lan is checking the 'my server requires
authentication' option
oe works ok but outlook2k will only receive, it doesnt send, and this is for
the same account
oe and outlook2k have identical user interfaces for setting up connections,
so there is no apparent difference
are there any options or patches that can be applied to solve this kind of
problem??
comcast only supports oe so they are no help, but i have been using
outlook2k with the cable connection and it works just fine
basically the error message on the send is 'tcp connection unexpectedly
terminated by server, smtp.comcast.net, error # ox800ccc0f'
