difference between Outlook Express and Outlook email clients

I have Outlook Express 6.00 on Windows XP-SP2. I do not have Outlook.

I need to learn how to use the Outlook email client. If I learn how to
use Outlook Express, will that teach me the ins and outs of the
Outlook email client?

Are there a lot of differences between Outlook Express and the
Outlook email client? If so, are these differences documented anywhere?
