Will someone please explain the difference between % work complete for a
task and % work complete for an assignment?

Along this line there must be difference between task and assignment; if
there is, will someone explain the difference between these 2 too?

Hello,

A task can have several resources assigned to.
A resource can work on several tasks.
An assignment is a unique couple task-resource.
For example: A task is assigned to 2 resources: resource A and resource B
(so there are 2 assignments on that task)
Resource A has completed his/her work: this assignment is completed.
But Resource B did only half his/her work on that task.
So the % Work completed for assignment A is 100% and for assignment B it is
50%.
At the Task level, the % Work complete is may be 75% (if the 2 assignments
have the same workload).

Hope this helps
