Hi all
We are using project server 2007
Our resources updates their progress via the PWA, and their status manager
are approved/rejects their tasks.
We encountered many time that the indication at the PWA home page, indicates
that the You have X task update from resources pending your approval and
after clicking the link the status manager see Y tasks.

Did someone encounter this phenomenon?
Do you know how to clean/reset the counters?
Is it a known bug?
Regards

Hello Erez,

We too had felt this issue in our deployment. This doesn't stop with
task updates but extends on new assignments as well.
As of I know, there is no fix for this.

Thanks,
Ravi.

I am afraid there are 2 problems here
1. Indication – wrong number
2. mechanism – not all the submitted tasks arrived to the status manager

BTW where are you from?
What are you doing with this problem?

The first problem is unfixed and doesn't cause big noice if users
understand it as known issue.
If you say the second one, I suspect the resources assignment owner
and task status owners. Please ensure it.

Thanks,
Ravi.
