Differences between Office 2007 and 2002 or 2003

I'm looking for a list of feature upgrades from previous versions. I'm
trying to write up a rational for upgrading to 2007 and this would really
help. I have seen such documents for other software.

Wait for SP-1. Recommending upgrading before then should be grounds for
terminating your employment.

If you don't already know what the differences were between Office 2002/XP
and 2003 and you have no first-hand experience with Office 2007 (and a
question like this makes it appear you have limited experience with any
Office version), why would you believe you were qualified to have an
informed opinion?

I'm not trying to be nasty. (Some would say it just comes naturally,
effortlessly.) The people in your organization who use Office heavily would
be a much better source for this sort of exercise. Ask them what features
they believe are lacking in their current Office version (presumably it's
either 2002/XP or 2003), then check Microsoft's marketing info or ask
SPECIFIC questions here.

Wow. What an angry person. If you don't have an answer then why waste the
time to respond. But I guess you probably have alot of time on your hands
with the lack of interpersonal skills.

I have used the new office for well over 2 months and have seen some of the
benefits. There are many that I haven't seen and there are others that I
would probably forget during my write up. So a document like this would help
to cover the bases.

Try reading postings in this newsgroup and the general newsgroups for the
main Office applications. That will point out the problems you could have
with Office 2007 pre-SP-1. You do want to be aware of problems as well as
features, don't you?

Further, since there are more features in Office 2003 than in 2002/XP, if it
made sense to upgrade from Office 2003 to Office 2007, it'd also make sense
to upgrade from Office 2002/XP to Office 2007. IOW, there doesn't seem to be
much point to including Office 2002/XP in the comparison.

But the big, unanswered question is why your company should trust the
opinion of someone too lazy to do his/her own research.

If I was able to find this information, this could only contribute to the
decision. Not make the decision. I am always adding information to this
research. I have been reading the posts on the pre-sp1 and find them very
interesting. You are implying that this is the only research/trials I
have/am conducting, which isn't true.

The real question is are you happy with your life? You may find happiness
in a more enlighten path.

Has this been a useful use of your employer's bandwidth? Just count
the replies from other people just dying to do your research for you.

If you really have done your own research, shouldn't you be able to
put together a feature comparison yourself?

I would download the trial version to see how it works for you or your
organization. I have been using it since February 2007 and have found a lot
of advantages with it but a little bit of difficulty finding some of my
functions.

I currently am certified in Office 2003 and noticed a large change between
2003 and 2007.
