differences between the ApplicationEvents4, ApplicationEvents3 and ApplicationEvents2

i am currently writing a word automation. now i had a word
applicationclass, but i am very coufused about differences between
ApplicationEvents4 , ApplicationEvents3 and ApplicationEvents2. can any
one help me find out?

They belong to Office 2003, 2002 and 2000, respectively.
