Different check box shows in "Project Server Accounts" Windows

We are using MS Project 2003 EPM with PWA.
When I connecting to EPM, the project server account window (normally) shows
the check box:
_ Load summary resource assignments

But in my friends' PC, it show different check box:
_ Connecting across a WAN (limited functionality in Build Team)

Why it's different?
What's the problem in my friend PC? How to solve?
What's it means "Connecting across a WAN (limited functionality in Build
Team)"?

Please help explain.
Thank you very much in advance.

But in my friend’s PC; it show the following.

Do you have any ideas, why it’s different?

Thank you very much in advance.

The limited WAN functionality became available in SP1 for the client, so it
is worth checking the SP levels for PC. If the box is selected then Summary
resource assignments are not displayed in the Resource usage or build team
areas.

Dear Ben,

OK, now I understood. This is due to my friend PC's is SP1.
Thank you very much for your kind explanation.

Okay. Note also that every PC should match the server level SP, otherwise
data integrity issues can occur. The latest SP for EPM2003 is SP2 for the
client, and SP2a for the server.

Dear Ben,

You are absolutely right.
In my client PC, it's MS Project 2003 Pro SP2.
My friend's client PC is MS Project 2003 Pro SP1.
That's why we are different.

How can I verify the SP of my project server?
(I guess my EPM2003 server is an old SP1.)
How can I changed my project server to SP2a?
Are there step-by-step procedure available for upgrading Project server SP1
--> SP2a? Is it difficult? Please help explain.
