different content for handouts and presentations

Hello,

I'm teaching a course, and I'm using powerpoint to make presentations.
What I would like to do is to create one powerpoint presentation file
where the content is different for the presentation and the handout.
For example, I'd like to pose a question to the students and have the
question be on both the presentation and the handout. Then I'd like to
have a discussion about the question, and at the appropriate time,
reveal the answer in the presentation. One option is to create a
presentation and the delete the parts I want omitted in the handout and
save it as a separate file. This is _far_ from ideal. Is there a way
that I can flag text boxes and images to not be printed in handout
mode?

I'm using office 2004 on mac os X.
