different cost for a resource

Hello!

I need that a same resource has a different cost according to which type of
task does.

Those tasks would be preparation or manufacture. There is some way to
assign those two different costs?

Thanks in advance.

You can set rates A, B, C, D and E on a resource. The rates can be set
time-phased as well. YOu can use A for Manufacturing and B for Preparation
and so on.

To assign rate A/B/C/D/E for a resource on a task, go to Task Usage view and
add the column "Cost Rate Table" and pick the rate (A through E) from the
drop down list.

At a task level you can also set a Task outline code for Task type that tags
the task as Manufacturing or Preparation etc.

Hope this helps.

Apply the Resource Sheet view and then double-click the resource's name.
Click the Costs tab. On the Costs page, you will see five different cost
rate tables labeled A through E. Enter your standard rate on cost rate
table A and the alternate rate on cost rate table B.

Assign your resource to tasks in the project. After doing so, apply the
Task Usage view and temporarily insert the Cost Rate Table column to the
right of the Task Name column. Locate the first task for which the resource
will use the alternate cost rate. Change the Cost Rate Table value for the
resource on that task to B. Repeat this process for every task that uses
the alternate cost. Hope this helps.
