Different Drawing Scales

Is it possible to define different drawing scales for the x and the y axis
in Visio 2003 or in the new 2005 beta (different units, eg. distance in km
on y and elapsed time on x)?

each page can have it's own scale.

Unfortunately, the scale in the x direction always matches the scale in the
y direction.

I'd like to find out what scenario you would use such a feature for. Would
you do some charting as in Excel, or something different?
