different extensions?

Do FP 2002 and 2003 require different extensions. The
reason for asking is that we used to have flawless
publishing when using FP2002 and now with 2003 we
continuously get 'the server "" timed out' - even in the
middle of vigorous communication with the server.

Any ideas?

OK, so how does the form handling etc. work?
Should publishing from FP2003 present issues like the one
we are having?
