I have a word 2003 document. On one of the pages, there are two columns.
about half way down the first column, I would like line numbering to start.
There is near the bottom of that column a three line gap where I would like
the line numbering not to count the lines, and then to contiue on for the
remainded of that column, and then stop half way down the second columns.
I would think that continuous sections breaks would work for this, but when
I use them, I end up with three different two column sections. The first
half of the first column is now split into two very short columns. Next
there are two very long columns with line numbers, and finally below that I
have two more columns without line numbers. I want the columns and text to
continue and only the line numbers to start and stop. I do not want to split
the text. Is there any way to so this in Word 2003?
