different set of numbers

i'm doing a disseratation...and i'm finding difficult in doing the following
example...example i, ii, iii, iv...for the first five pages of the
documents...and then the sixth page sequential numbering ie 1,2,3....

In order to restart page numbering and/or change their formatting you need
to have Section Breaks to divorce each part of the document from the next.
