different worksheet cells on same different worksheet

I have worksheet "Tom" and "Dan". I want to put the contents of Tom A1 in
Dan A3. Instead of putting "=Tom A1" in Dan A3, can I type in "Tom" in Dan
A2 and then somehow put "worksheet name in A2, A1" in Dan A3 ?

I know it sounds trivial but I actually have 100 or more of these cells I
want to fill by referencing to the name of worksheets typed in a cell.
