Difficult Outlook Password Issue

R

Robert

I have been using Outlook 2003 successfully, along with Verizon DSL and
Internet Explorer. Recently Outlook started asking for my passowrd all the
time, and would not remember it. I did the whole registry key deletion
procedure, and then spent 2 hours on the phone with Microsoft support. Still
no resolution. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If you checked your password to be remembered, and it shows as dots in the
password box, but still does not connect, check with Verizon that there is
not a problem with their password server..

This fix applies to Outlook and other programs that store passwords
in the Protected Storage System Provider sub-branch of the Registry.
It also corrects some issues with Internet Explorer and Autocomplete.
