Difficulty in getting Project Pro 2K7 up and running

Hi all,
I've been struggling to install MS Project 2K7 Pro. I run Vista Ultimate
and Office 2K7.
Basically, I've removed the copy of Project (standard) that comes with the
Office installation. I then installed Project 2K7 Pro - at least that's
what the installer's splash screen said. However, when I run Project, the
splash screen shows the standard Project info. Same goes when I go to
Help/About. I then downloaded Pro from the MS site and installed that but
to no avail.

I can successfully connect to our Project server but I don't get any of the
Pro options like View/Schedule Status, View/Enterprise Budget and cost etc.
I do, however, get the View/Enterprise Gantt Chart option.

Obviously I'm doing something wrong.

Any ideas/suggestions?

I appreciate your time.

After loading MSP2k7 on a client, you must connect to the server. On the
client, in MSP2K7, click on tools, click on enterprise options, enter your
name, PWA server URL, and domain account login info. Close MSP2K7 and
reopen. You should see connected on the bottom of the screen. Now you
should get the enterprise features. I hope this is the info you were looking
for.

Hi Brad,
thank you for taking the time to respond.

I've done all that and still no joy. I can tell I've successully connected
to our PWA because I can add resources from the server as well as publish my
projects.

Can it be a setting (highly unlikely) on our PWA that I need to change? The
fact that under the View menu item I get 'Enterprise Gantt Chart' but none of
the other Prof options tells me it might be a setting somewhere.

Also, when I go to Control Panel / Programs and features it shows Project
Pro as being loaded on my machine. However, when I go to Help / About it
doesn't show Pro. Very, very weird.

OK, More of the obvious. In control panel, add remove programs, remove all
insatnces of MS Project. You might want to check the regestry for MS Project
2003 entries. Reboot, then reinstall MSKP2K7
