Under schedules you have the ability to disable Send & Receive, but it still auto Sync's my inbox. I have noticed Send & Receive All stays BOLD and delete is greyed out?

I have even created a new Schedule called Sync Manually?

Will Entourage 2008 not allow you to sync manually when I choose!?!?!

while you cannot delete the S&R schedule (it's a built in, required schedule)
you can turn it off by unchecking the blue tick mark next to it, or by
setting it to run manually only.

however, if your account is an exchange account, or if it is IMAP with
livesync turned on then mail is synced without the schedule running. There is
nothing you can do about the exchange account, other than setting Entourage
to work Offline (under the 'Entourage' menu). With hte imap account you can
uncheck the livesync setting in the account settings (options pane, IIRC),
then it will follow the S&R schedule.
