Disable "Create Your Drawing Here"

Is there a way to disable the drawing box with "Create
Your Drawing Here" that pops up everytime I "insert" --

"text box"?

Tools | Options | General: Clear the check box for "Automatically create
drawing canvas when inserting AutoShapes." Note that the drawing canvas is
required for some operations (such as using connectors). You can get a
canvas even with this option disabled, by using Insert | Picture | New
Drawing.
