Disable Reading Layout in Word won't stick

Hey, one of our clients is reporting that even when he goes and manually
turns off the reading layout checkbox, after he logs out this setting is
forgotten. Does anyone know how I could go about fixing this? Is there
anywhere else I could tell it to turn off?
