Disable Right Click "Save" for Images

have seen some website that are able to disable the ability to right click on an image to save it to their computer
Is this something I can do for the images on my website with Front Page 200

The disble right click is mostly a waste of time. People
can still save your pages with your images on them.

One of the best alternatives I heard of is to use a
transparent Gif over the top of your image, so when the
click to copy, they get the transparent pic instead of the
original image.

Scott,

There is no way to protect images that you have placed on the Internet.
Have you ever heard of a program called SnagIt? You can point SnagIt at a
Web site and it will pull down all of the images on that site and save them
to your hard drive.

Bottom line: If I can see it in a browser, I can easily get it.

This can also be accomplished by going to File> Save AS in your browser (at
least in IE). You'll end up with the html page and a folder filled with
everything the page needs.

You don't even need to do that. That do a File|Save As and the page and all
of it's content are saved. All of the photos are in the folder that is
created.

download the entire web site, not just
one page.

You can stop certain ways that visitors save copies of
your pcitures, but not all of them. This makes right-
click capturing and other techniques about as useful as
fencing one side of a yard.

Yes, but that only gets you the images on that page. SnagIt can get all of
the images on your SITE. :)
