Disable Router DMZ?

Hi when I was downloading Excel 2007, it said I need to disable my router's
DMZ because it may corrupt files or something like that. And I have no Idea
what to do. My excel 2003 wont download add-ins so maybe the DMZ is affeting
both?


Anyways any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You would need to check the help pages for your specific router
DMZ is a firewall configuration within your router. (Not the same as your PC
/ windows firewall)

I viewed the answer on yahoo but the page of the gateway isn'
opening.

Err and this has to do with Office what?

If you cant find the manual to you router you can bypass it. if you hav
a modem unplug the cat5 cable from it and plug it in to you network car
on you PC. you may need to refresh modem and or network ip may need t
be reset. if you don't know how to do the refresh on modem or if yo
don't know how to reset ip you may need look it up online first. it
real easy. i hope this works out for you
