Disable tracking

Hello everyone! Does anybody knows how can I disable the tracking
functionality for a given project...that is, if my stakeholders want me to
"close" a project so no body can track any more hours but at the same time
the project can still be seen in the Project Center....is there a way to do
that?

One option is to change all the booking types of your resources on that
project from "Committed" to "Proposed" and re-publishing the plan. This way
the tasks will no longer show on the resources task updates screen but the
project and all the assignments will still show up in Project Center,
Project Details, etc.

This works in MSPS 2003 but in MSPS 2007 it did not work pre-SP1. If you
are using MSPS 2007, you will need to either install the hotfix or SP1 for
that feature to work.
