Disable workspace after project archiving

R

Ray McCoppin

There are a number of way to help in this area, below are some of the ways to
do it:
1. Remove the Project Workspace Web part from home page, teach users to
access the workspaces from Project Center page. I think this is more secure
and better, as it gets users to looking at timelines and project dates, and
creates a cleaner home page.
2. Remove the link to the workspace in the workspace admin page and or point
to a custom page that says project is closed.
3. Replace Project Workspace Web part with custom or third party web part or
a SSRS report that will not display closed projects
4. Archive the WSS artiffacts using STSADM and delete the workspace, as it
can be restore from the archive.

Hope this Helps
