Disabled options

I just installed FP2002 (FP2000 crashed...AGAIN).

Anyhow, the "Recent Files" and "Recent Webs" options on the file menu
are disabled even after opening several webs and some pages in each.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to correct it?

Obviously this is not a major problem but it is rather annoying that I
have to navigate to to the last web I was working on in order to open
it instead of being able to go right to it using the menu item.

My OS is Win98 SE.

In advance, thank you for any help you can give.

These are stored in the registry here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Explorer\Navigation
for a list of recent webs, and here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Explorer\Navigation\MRUList
for the recent files.

See if these entries exist, and if not run detect and repair from the FrontPage help menu.

The *DO* exist.

The entries shown are from FP2000 when I had it on the machine. The
first (default) value is NOT set. Does it have to be?

BTW, the Recent Webs and Recent Files (as shown in the keys you list
above) are the same. The MRUList keys show the path to the WEB but
not the files.

I ran detect and repair but the Recent Files and Recent Files options
are still not enabled.

Any other thoughts on how to correct this?
