Disabling Anti Aliasing in Word?

G

Gross, Michael

Hi,

I'd like to use a graphic in Word XP without Anti Aliasing. Is it
possible to disable Anti Aliasing for graphics in Word?

Thanks,
Michael

Well, if that's your question, let me ask you this: how did you turn it
on in the first place? Assuming you're talking about vector graphics in
e.g. WMF file format, MS Office to my knowledge does not anti-alias
them. Maybe Word XP does?

I know I'm not answering your question, but I'm curious to hear about
this all the same.

Hi Michael,

Word (Office) 97 and earlier had very noticable 'smoothing'
on the graphics.

The graphics driver engine now
used is MS's GDI+, started by the Office folks
but now 'owned' by the Windows team who may change
its behavior in various Windows Service packs to
some extent, but what's usually there in Office apps
isn't very pronounced, except for text processing
under GDI+
