Disabling ClearType in "reading" mode

I was trying to disable ClearType in "reading" mode. I looked into Help and
tried to do what was written - to add a key into registry. This doesn't
apparently work - even when I tried different formats of keys etc. :eek:(
Does anyone know about the solution?

The best possible work around I am aware of is to disable Clear Type from
the Display applet of Windows. Right Click (desktop) > Properties >
Appearance (tab) > Effects (button), on the "Effects" dialogue, click in the
"Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:" (pop down menu
and select Standard.

This will disable clear type throughout all of Windows, (which I'm sensing,
you might not have in mind).
